Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Executive – System Administration to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing Windows-based applications, Microsoft O365 services, Active Directory, and related infrastructure, ensuring performance, availability, and security. This role demands continuous monitoring of Windows/O365 environments, conducting in-depth reviews of corporate applications, and strengthening system lifecycle management from design to deployment in production.
The Job
- Administer and maintain Windows Servers, Active Directory, and O365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
- Perform Windows system administration tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Provide Tier 2 support for applications hosted in the Data Centre and O365 platform.
- Plan and execute performance tuning and system optimization activities.
- Implement and manage OS-level and O365 security measures to safeguard systems.
- Apply and manage service packs, virus protection, and security updates in a timely manner.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support to guarantee uninterrupted user services.
- Monitor Windows-based and O365 applications for availability and performance issues.
- Conduct capacity planning for both on-premise infrastructure and O365 workloads.
- Maintain compliance with InfoSec, licensing, and ISO requirements.
- Perform and document backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning for Windows/O365 systems.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, diagrams, and system inventories.
- Automate repetitive administration tasks using PowerShell and scripting tools.
- Manage firewall rules, monitor system logs, and review accounts to strengthen security.
- Ensure proper governance, patching, and auditing of Exchange, O365 mail flow, and collaboration tools.
- Collaborate with developers, vendors, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
- Support app publishing (Apple/Android), ensuring alignment with Microsoft/O365 identity and security frameworks.
Entry Requirements
The Person:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field from a recognized university.
- 3–4 years of proven experience in Windows and O365 administration within a critical, enterprise-level environment.
- Strong expertise in Active Directory, Exchange/O365, Windows clusters, and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with monitoring tools (SCOM, SCCM, SummitAi, SailPoint).Proficiency in PowerShell and scripting for automation and system optimization.
- Deep understanding of application security, governance, and compliance requirements.
